Senior Identity and Full-Stack Engineer

Overview

In this role you will own Aberdeen’s customer-facing Identity Provider and IDaaS platform, improving security and reliability. You’ll design and implement authentication, SSO, and user lifecycle solutions, while building cloud-native apps and APIs on Azure. You’ll drive automation, mentoring, and engineering excellence across Digital Engineering. This position offers influence over critical services and engineering standards within a collaborative, growth-focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve the customer-facing Identity Provider (IDP) and IDaaS platform with emphasis on reliability and security.
• Design and implement authentication, SSO, federation, user lifecycle and access governance using OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SAML and SCIM.
• Build and support cloud-native applications, APIs and integrations on Microsoft Azure from design to production support.
• Advance automation and engineering excellence via Terraform, GitHub, CI/CD pipelines and scripting tools.
• Troubleshoot complex incidents, perform root-cause analysis and bolster operational resilience.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to technical leadership, standards and best practices.

Key requirements

• Experience operating Identity Provider or Identity-as-a-Service platforms, ideally Okta.
• Strong knowledge of OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SAML, SSO, MFA and identity security controls.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, identity integration and cloud-native services.
• Strong software engineering capability across C# .NET APIs, backend services and secure integrations.
• Experience with Terraform, GitHub, CI/CD automation and scripting tools.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to collaborate, mentor and support colleagues.
