Programme Manager – Salesforce

Overview

In this role you will oversee IT programmes to ensure timely, within-budget delivery while aligning with business goals. You will partner with senior stakeholders to shape technology roadmaps and manage a team of project managers, handling interdependencies, risks, and financials. You will drive cross-functional collaboration between Business, Technology, Architecture, and Data teams to realise defined outcomes. Your work will support QBE’s modernisation and transformation of its technology landscape in a fast-paced insurance environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support programmes and projects to achieve defined business outcomes
• Manage a team of project managers and ensure effective communication with business leaders
• Translate business requirements into technical deliverables and roadmaps
• Oversee interdependencies, risks, and budgeting across programmes
• Coordinate with Business, Technology, Architecture, and Data teams to ensure alignment
• Develop and execute comprehensive communication plans for stakeholders
• Collaborate with internal delivery teams and external vendors to deliver projects
• Connect project activities to measurable business benefits and outcomes

Key requirements

• Extensive programme management experience in a change function with progressive career development
• Strong business partnering and stakeholder management abilities
• Experience delivering complex Salesforce-enabled business change and managing cross-functional teams
• Experience with data teams and resolving data-related issues
• Experience leading multiple IT workstreams within large transformation programmes
• Familiarity with project management methodologies (APM, Prince2) and RAID, financial and budget management
• Proven ability to develop business cases and present to senior stakeholders
• Leadership experience in fast-paced environments and managing external contractors
