Overview
In this role you will own and govern the data architecture for sales compensation, building a scalable single source of truth to support commission calculations and leadership reporting. You will partner with Finance, Sales Operations, and Technology to design, deploy, and maintain robust data platforms, ensuring SOX-compliant, auditable data foundations. You will lead a team of analysts, translate complex commercial contracts into reusable data structures, and drive cross-functional adoption of validated processes. This is a mission-critical role for reliable analytics and strategic decision-making in Market Intelligence.

Responsibilities
- Own data platform lifecycle for large, complex datasets to support commissions and sales reporting
- Lead database build-out, schema design, and tool selection for a centralized truth
- Design automated reconciliation and standardized adjustments for data integrity and auditability
- Partner with BI and Systems Analytics to shape data warehouse, ETL workflows, and scalable infra
- Translate commercial contracts into structured, repeatable data constructs for systems
- Establish and enforce enterprise data governance, health, traceability, and SOX-compliant audit trails
- Produce and communicate sales performance analytics and data-quality metrics to leadership
- Explain complex data architecture and commission logic in plain language to stakeholders
- Detect and resolve data anomalies early to protect calculation accuracy
- Lead SOPs and SLAs to standardize legacy workflows and ensure repeatable processes
Key requirements
- 10+ years in sales compensation, data architecture, governance, or related fields
- Deep experience with database building, schema design, data warehousing, ETL, and large data environments
- Proven ability to evaluate and implement data consolidation tools for a unified data source
- Practical experience with script-based reconciliation and automation (VBA, Python/Pandas, SQL, Alteryx)
- Strong governance experience including automated reconciliation, validation models, and SOX controls
- Ability to translate complex deal structures into clean data frameworks for systems
- Experience with Power BI for reporting and executive dashboards
- Cross-functional collaboration with BI, Systems Analytics, Commissions, and Sales Ops
- Strong communication skills to explain data issues and commission logic clearly
