Senior Broker Support Manager – Marine, Energy & Technical Lines

Overview

In this role you will lead the Marine, Energy and Technical Lines broker support function within Marsh Re London, steering complex placement activity and ensuring high service standards for clients, brokers, and markets. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, oversee contract drafting and compliance, and drive accurate reporting to senior leadership. You’ll shape placement documentation and onboarding, contributing to a dynamic, industry-leading reinsurance practice. Responsibilities

• Review renewal information to identify placement wording considerations
• Manage contract drafting, policy updates, and final documentation
• Track progress and maintain accurate placement status
• Maintain core placement files with evidence of best-practice and compliance
• Respond to information requests from clients, reinsurers, and markets
• Support onboarding for new clients and markets
• Manage compliance tasks including sanctions, AML and ABC processes
• Monitor and report on business metrics
• Develop relationships with Service Team and understand accounting, claims, and proportional treaty administration
• Provide oversight of financial reporting to Senior Leadership Group and CFO
• Participate in team, client, and reinsurer meetings as needed

Key requirements

• Significant experience in Marine reinsurance with strong broker support background
• Experience working on reinsurance contract wordings
• Excellent organizational and workload prioritization skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Confident communication and relationship-building across stakeholders
• Solid understanding of placement documentation, renewals, and market processes
• Demonstrable leadership experience and team development
• Exposure to fiduciary processes and/or financial reporting
• Experience handling complex placement activity with minimal supervision
