Machine Learning Engineer, Driving Product

Overview

In this role you will shape autonomous driving capabilities by developing and refining end-to-end ML models for Level 2–4 driving. You’ll own the training loop from data to on-road validation, directly impacting high-priority commercial deliveries such as Nissan production and Robotaxi. The role sits in a fast-growing, product-focused team that values ownership, rapid iteration, and cross-functional collaboration. You contribute to a mission-driven company building mapless, hardware-agnostic AI for automotive applications.

Responsibilities

• Develop AI driver model architecture and training algorithms for L2/L3/L4 driving behaviors
• Own parts of the training lifecycle: evaluation strategy, metrics, and iteration planning
• Mine and curate real-world and synthetic data to teach specific driving behaviors and support training
• Run on-road and offline experiments; translate results into actionable next steps and improve through repeated training cycles

Key requirements

• Proven experience training deep learning models with end-to-end ownership (data, training, evaluation, iteration)
• Experience taking ML models into production under real-world constraints and safety requirements

• Reinforcement learning experience (preferred)
• End-to-end driving models and/or transformer networks
• Automotive or OEM experience deploying ML into physical systems
• Experience with PyTorch Lightning training infrastructure
• Model compression and deployments to embedded systems
