Responsibilities

• Carry out laboratory analyses under supervision, ensuring accurate results and proper documentation
• Participate in departmental rosters and adapt to operational requirements, including flexible working
• Perform quality control procedures and investigate issues to implement corrective actions
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, reporting faults to ensure safe functioning
• Maintain supplies and organise personal work activities for efficient use of time and resources
• Ensure competent use of computerised data management systems and comply with SOPs, safety, confidentiality, and data protection

Key requirements

• HCPC registered Biomedical Scientist
• Relevant Biomedical Science qualification
• Experience in Histopathology
• Knowledge of laboratory quality control procedures
• Commitment to ongoing professional development
• Current UK professional registration
