Senior Food Service Auditor – Northern England/Scotland

Overview

As Senior Food Service Auditor, you will lead food safety and health & safety audits at restaurants, bars, groceries and similar venues across the North of England or Scotland. You will also support the development of other auditors and oversee quality monitoring to ensure consistent application of NSF standards. The role focuses on local audit delivery with minimal overnight stays and offers opportunities to grow auditing and leadership capabilities within a global organization. You’ll contribute to public health by upholding high compliance standards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct food safety and health & safety audits at client sites
• Train and coach client teams during audits
• Write audit findings and share results with client managers
• Collect samples and coordinate laboratory submissions
• Plan audits to meet deadlines
• Perform monitoring and quality visits
• Provide desktop reviews and constructive feedback
• Help ensure NSF and client standards are applied consistently
• Maintain communication with audit teams, managers and client contacts
• Support audit scheduling and identify gaps in auditor availability
• Assist on additional tasks as needed

Key requirements

• Level 4 in Food Safety and Health & Safety
• Experience conducting food safety and health and safety audits or inspections
• Auditor qualifications aligned with ISO 19011
• Ability to plan and carry out audits independently
• Experience training, coaching or developing others
• Excellent communication skills
• Confident in writing clear and accurate reports
• Ability to handle sensitive conversations professionally
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Full UK driving licence
• Willingness to travel to client sites
• Confident using Microsoft Office and PDF software
