Auditor – Public Sector Audit

Overview

In this role you will join a growing public sector audit team to plan and deliver audits for large government and related entities. You will work on client sites, test financial statements, identify risks, and assess controls, while engaging with clients to understand finance processes. Depending on experience, you may mentor juniors and lead audit assignments or sections. Responsibilities

• plan and deliver audits for large-scale public sector clients
• perform on-site testing of financial statements to identify risks and assess controls
• engage with clients to understand finance processes and systems
• support development of junior team members and oversee their work
• potentially lead audit assignments or sections of audits

Key requirements

• prior experience on audit assignments within the public sector
• studying towards accountancy qualifications (AAT/ ACCA/ ACA/ CIPFA) or near qualification/ newly qualified
