Senior Construction Manager

Overview

You will lead on-site delivery of fast-paced commercial fit-out projects (CAT A/B) up to £20m, from pre-construction to handover. You’ll manage site teams, subcontractors, and logistics to keep programmes on track while upholding quality and safety. You will collaborate with design and commercial teams to resolve issues and drive productive outcomes. Responsibilities

• Take full responsibility for on-site delivery of CAT A/B fit-out projects up to £20m from pre-construction to handover.
• Lead construction activities on site to ensure programme adherence and quality.
• Coordinate subcontractors, site teams, and logistics for smooth delivery.
• Champion health & safety compliance and best practices on site.
• Collaborate with design and commercial teams to manage changes and keep delivery on track.
• Oversee short-term programming, sequencing, and daily site operations to boost productivity.
• Monitor risk, quality, and progress, implementing solutions to maintain efficiency.
• Provide visible leadership, mentor teams, and foster a high-performance culture.
• Act as primary contact for clients and consultants during delivery.

Key requirements

• Proven experience as a Senior Construction Manager or similar, delivering commercial fit-out projects.
• Strong track record delivering projects up to £20m in value.
• Deep understanding of construction sequencing, site management, and fit-out challenges.
• Confident in managing subcontractors, programmes, and site logistics in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong leadership presence with ability to drive teams and uphold high on-site standards.
