You will work alongside the Programme Manager to steer strategy, risk management, and stakeholder engagement across a multidisciplinary team. Responsibilities

• Partner with the Programme Manager to provide leadership and direction across the programme
• Support delivery of complex systems integration activities with focus on quality, performance, and contractual commitments
• Drive programme governance including risk, issue, dependency, and change management
• Build strong relationships with customers, partners, suppliers, and internal teams
• Monitor performance metrics such as schedules, budgets, forecasting, and reporting
• Foster an inclusive, high-performing team culture
• Support continuous improvement and long-term programme success

Key requirements

• Experience leading or supporting large, complex programmes in systems integration, technology, engineering, aviation, defence, or transportation
• Strong stakeholder management with ability to influence across diverse teams
• Experience managing risks, dependencies, governance, and delivery performance
• Commercial and financial awareness, including budgeting and forecasting
• Strong communication skills for clear presentations to varied audiences
• Collaborative leadership style enabling achievement of shared goals
• Desirable: experience in aviation systems integration, complex contractual/regulatory environments, government/defence/safety-critical customers, professional PM qualifications (MSP, PRINCE2, PMP, APM), and leading geographically dispersed teams
