Overview

In this role you will set vision and strategy for a product within Co-op’s digital, technology and data function, guiding discovery to delivery. You will collaborate with engineering, design and business teams to deliver customer- and member-focused outcomes at scale. You’ll influence strategic decisions and drive meaningful change across the business while working in a hybrid, purpose-led environment. This is a hands-on leadership role with cross-functional impact and opportunities to rotate across product areas.

Responsibilities

  • Define and communicate a clear vision, strategy and roadmap for your product
  • Balance customer needs, business priorities and technical considerations in product decisions
  • Lead the product lifecycle from discovery through delivery to deliver meaningful outcomes
  • Leverage customer insight, feedback and data to identify opportunities and prioritize improvements
  • Maintain a well-prioritised backlog to focus on highest-value work
  • Measure product performance and use insights to inform future decisions and investments
  • Build strong relationships across product, engineering, design and business teams to drive collaboration and alignment

Key requirements

  • Significant product management experience including defining strategies and leading complex products or initiatives
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with ability to influence across teams and seniority levels
  • Experience using customer insights, research and data to inform decisions and prioritise work
  • Ability to translate business goals into clear product outcomes, roadmaps and measurable objectives
  • Strong communication skills to explain complex ideas to different audiences
  • Understanding of agile ways of working and experience in cross-functional product teams
