Overview
As Financial Crime Advisory Manager, you will oversee AML and financial crime controls in Jersey, acting as Deputy MLRO and supporting the MLCO/MLROs. You will monitor outsourced AML activity, assist investigations, and help maintain policies and risk assessments. You’ll be the primary day-to-day AML contact for businesses, delivering practical guidance and helping onboarding and control improvements. Responsibilities
- Act as Deputy Money Laundering Reporting Officer (DMLRO) and support MLCO/MLROs in AML/CTF compliance monitoring in Jersey
- Oversee effectiveness of outsourced AML activity and assist investigations
- Assist MLROs with drafting board/management reports and maintain onboarding efficiency
- Serve as primary AML contact for businesses, providing clear, practical guidance
- Maintain AML policies, procedures, and risk assessments; ensure controls are recorded
- Collaborate with CI AML team and other compliance colleagues to improve processes
- Escalate issues to senior management when needed
- Keep up-to-date with regulatory changes through training and enterprise-wide initiatives
Key requirements
- Extensive AML compliance experience including assessment of financial crime factors and training delivery
- Strong knowledge of Jersey AML regulatory framework and applicable laws
- Ability to work with limited supervision and promote cross-unit cooperation
- Excellent verbal and written communication for concise analytical reporting
- Working knowledge of Company IT systems and Microsoft Office
