Lead Expert Offshore Cable Installation

Overview

As Lead Expert, you will steer Installation Logistics – Cables for offshore projects, aligning technical standards with safety and business goals. You will support the Chief Engineer and Engineering Management, promoting best practices across regions to optimise LCOE and interface with Cable Protection, Structures and Electrical. You will shape strategy, manage complex international projects, and drive innovation to meet evolving technical and regulatory demands. This role offers a chance to influence global standards and contribute to sustainable, large-scale offshore wind development.

Responsibilities

• Advise senior engineering leadership on Installation Logistics – Cables decisions
• Drive cross-regional collaboration and knowledge sharing
• Establish and approve global standards, specifications, and procedures
• Lead and participate in high-risk international projects and global tech initiatives
• Develop, approve, and oversee Installation Logistics – Cables activities within delegated authority
• Provide engineering support across project lifecycles
• Mentor and coach engineers; support Technical Career Path progression
• Identify emerging issues, stakeholder impacts, and optimisation opportunities
• Influence industry trends and contribute to international standards committees
• Represent the company’s engineering excellence to regulators, partners, and suppliers
