Health & Safety Manager

Overview

In this Health & Safety Manager role, you will lead on-site safety leadership across live projects while embedding strong H&S practices across CAT A and CAT B fit-out work. You’ll balance on-site presence with strategic ISO compliance and audits, driving continuous improvement and a robust safety culture. You’ll support project teams with practical guidance and deliver training to elevate safety standards. This role suits a proactive communicator who can influence across levels in a high-growth contractor.

Responsibilities

• Provide visible, hands-on health & safety leadership on live sites
• Conduct site inspections, audits, and risk assessments
• Lead on ISO standards compliance and audits (internal/external)
• Support project teams with practical H&S guidance and best practices
• Drive continuous improvement in safety systems and procedures
• Deliver training and toolbox talks as required

Key requirements

• Proven H&S experience in fit-out or construction environments
• Strong knowledge of CAT A & CAT B commercial fit-out projects (desirable)
• Ability to split time between site and office
• IOSH or NEBOSH qualification
• Confident communicator with ability to influence at all levels
