Overview

In this role you ensure reliable operation of building services at Fitzroy Place, delivering routine maintenance, fault diagnosis and reactive support to meet SLAs. You work within Skanska’s Building Services team to maintain mechanical systems, lead safety procedures, and document maintenance activities. The position offers exposure to diverse facilities management tasks and opportunities to collaborate with subcontractors. This role appeals to hands-on engineers who want to contribute to safe, efficient building operations in a major city site.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver day-to-day servicing and breakdown maintenance across mechanical infrastructure, systems and equipment
  • Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM), planned works, fault diagnosis and reactive response within agreed SLAs
  • Conduct fault finding, plant adjustments, inspections and maintenance tasks per contract requirements
  • Support subcontractor inductions and ensure safe systems of work before work starts
  • Attend reactive callouts and respond within contractual SLA requirements
  • Complete reactive and additional works to engineering standards in line with HASAWA and Our Way of Working
  • Maintain accurate daily worksheets, inspection reports and maintenance records, submitting them on time

Key requirements

  • Mechanical City & Guilds NVQ Level 2 or 3, or equivalent qualification
  • BMS experience
  • Good understanding of statutory compliance and water treatment requirements
  • IOSH Working Safely qualification or equivalent Health & Safety certification
  • Experience in a customer-facing role
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
