Overview

As Operations and Technology Procurement Director, you lead procurement for Operations and Technology within a regulated, complex environment to deliver value, resilience, and sustainability for Heathrow. You will steer a high-performing team and partner with senior stakeholders across Operations, IT, and Engineering to align sourcing with business and regulatory goals. You’ll drive strategic sourcing, negotiate high-value contracts, and foster supplier relationships that enable digital transformation and passenger-focused outcomes. Responsibilities

• Develop and execute end-to-end procurement strategies for Operations and Technology categories
• Lead, coach and develop a high-performing procurement team
• Partner with senior leaders to translate operational and technology needs into sourcing plans
• Negotiate complex, high-value contracts delivering cost savings, innovation, and resilience
• Monitor supplier performance and manage key relationships for service excellence and risk mitigation
• Drive sustainability and digital innovation within the supply chain
• Ensure procurement activities align with regulatory requirements and Heathrow’s business objectives
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to manage risk and compliance

Key requirements

• Proven experience leading procurement for operations and/or technology in a complex, regulated environment
• Strong commercial acumen with track record of delivering cost efficiencies through strategic sourcing
• Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills at senior leadership level
• Expertise in contract negotiation and supplier relationship management
• Ability to lead and develop teams and drive performance and engagement
• Knowledge of sustainability and digital trends impacting procurement
