Associate/Senior Associate – Contentious Construction

Overview

In this role you will support a national construction team focused on transactional, non-contentious matters, with exposure to global heads and industry leaders. You will work on development projects across retail, housing, student accommodation, hospitality and regeneration, plus infrastructure and energy, advising clients to meet commercial objectives. The role blends client-facing work with collaborative problem-solving to deliver practical, robust legal solutions. Based in Birmingham or Manchester with hybrid options, this is a chance to shape high‑impact projects and expand the firm’s non-contentious offering.

Responsibilities

• Provide pre-contractual procurement advice and draft/negotiated construction documentation
• Support national and international clients on projects
• Offer project advisory guidance to align with client objectives
• Collaborate with colleagues to deliver innovative, high-quality client service
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders

Key requirements

• Solid experience in construction law
• Experience drafting and revising contracts and appointments for various projects and parties
