Associate/Senior Associate – Banking

Overview

In this role you will lead and support banking and finance transactions within a collaborative, flexible firm. You’ll work with cross-functional teams to deliver on complex finance matters, from real estate and acquisition finance to development and impact lending. Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a wide range of finance transactions (real estate, acquisition, corporate lending, development, project finance, impact investment)
• Draft, negotiate, and advise on facility agreements, security documents, intercreditor arrangements, loan notes, and related docs
• Advise lenders and borrowers on new lending, refinancings and restructurings
• Coordinate transaction workstreams and collaborate with corporate, real estate and private wealth teams
• Support international transactions with overseas counsel when needed
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships and identify new business opportunities
• Mentor and develop junior lawyers and maintain high technical standards
• Contribute to the team’s strategic growth initiatives

Key requirements

• Strong track record leading banking and finance transactions
• 3–6 years’ post-qualification experience in banking and finance
• Experience in sectors such as Sustainable Economy, Impact Investing, Financial Services, Private Wealth, Real Estate, and International
• Excellent drafting and communication skills
• Commercial, proactive, professional approach with client-focused mindset
• Ability to develop business networks and client relationships
