Performance and Continuous Improvement Lead

Overview

As a Performance and Continuous Improvement Lead, you will drive data-led improvements across Amey’s Defence Complex Facilities contract. You’ll work with front-line teams and stakeholders to identify waste, reduce risk, and embed a CI culture. You will lead Lean and Six Sigma initiatives and coach colleagues to deliver measurable performance gains. This role combines hands-on data analysis, project leadership, and cross-functional collaboration to shape operational excellence. A strong message of proactive change and delivery underpins this opportunity, with travel to multiple sites and a clear impact on contracts and outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Collect and analyze complex data from diverse sources to generate insights for innovation and risk awareness
• Identify trends and produce accurate reports to drive improvements
• Lead continuous improvement projects using Lean, Six Sigma and project management methodologies
• Challenge established processes to eliminate waste and embed CI in operations
• Share best practices and coach a team of Improvement excellence
• Identify cost-saving and performance-enhancing initiatives following Lean principles
• Coach and mentor within RAMS to foster a CI culture

Key requirements

• Experience in data analysis with ability to identify trends and synthesize insights
• Facilitating Lean/change management workshops with stakeholders
• Experience driving change in operational environments in B2B/B2C settings
• Ability to travel and spend minimum three days per week on site
• Driving licence (essential)
• Desirable: previous coaching/mentoring experience; ILM Level Three Award in Coaching and Mentoring or equivalent; Lean Six Sigma qualification or equivalent
• Security clearance requirements (BPSS plus appropriate level such as Security Check)
