Senior Project Designer – Interior Design Job in London – 55,000 – 60,000

Overview

In this London-based role you will guide hospitality interiors from concept to completion, leading the project design delivery and coordinating the design team. You’ll shape the project vision with Directors and Associates while upholding design standards, and you’ll manage client, operator, and consultant communications throughout delivery. The role blends creative leadership with technical direction and day-to-day mentoring to support project teams. This fixed-term position focuses on high-end F&B, spas, and large-scale hotels, offering a meaningful impact on design quality and delivery.

Responsibilities

• Manage the design team across conception, development, documentation and completion
• Develop and communicate clear design direction with Directors and Associates
• Elevate creative, technical and presentation output through design research
• Provide design and technical direction coordinating with FF&E
• Lead coordination with clients, operators, consultants and contractors
• Oversee presentations, drawings, specifications, schedules and construction documentation
• Delegate work, mentor team, and ensure delivery within programme, contract and budget
• Report on resources, fees, time, budgets and schedule changes to team members

Key requirements

• Minimum eight years in design and design project management within high-end hospitality
• Strong knowledge of interior architecture, interior design, furniture and product design
• Excellent eye for colour, materials, composition and form; strong free-hand sketching
• Strong technical and construction knowledge with managerial, presentation and communication skills
• High level AutoCAD capability; proficient in Photoshop, InDesign and Microsoft Office
• Working knowledge of SketchUp; Revit, Enscape, 3D Studio Max and Rhino advantageous
• Ability to work under pressure, meet timelines, and support wider teams
