Senior Financial Analyst, EMEA Lease Accounting

Overview

In this role you will support UK operations from the London office as part of the UK EMEA Non-AWS Lease Accounting team. You will manage controllership, close activities, and multinational accounting flows across entities, driving cross-border initiatives and best-practice processes. You will partner with finance leadership to implement policies and deliver timely internal and external reporting. This position offers the opportunity to shape global accounting controls and contribute to large-scale, cross-functional projects. You will work in a fast-paced, cross-location environment with diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Prepare deliverables for internal and external financial reporting, including commentary and supplementary analyses.
• Prepare and review monthly balance sheet reconciliations and annual financial statements.
• Lead certain month-end close activities to meet deadlines.
• Improve accounting processes and controls for a high-volume transaction environment.
• Participate in cross-functional project launches from scoping to testing and launch.
• Engage with stakeholders across business, technology, and administration on business integration projects.

Key requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or related field, or equivalent experience
• Knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS, or local GAAP frameworks and ability to apply them day-to-day
• Fluent in English (speaking, reading, writing)
• Experience supporting month-end close and financial reporting procedures
• Experience supporting controls implementations or audits of financial reporting environments
• Experience using financial models, KPIs, and data analysis to inform business decisions
• Professional accounting qualification (CMA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or equivalent)
