Overview

In this role you will shape and execute the product vision for scalable, API-based search and browse capabilities within Tesco’s Discovery team. You’ll drive data-informed decisions by analyzing complex data, collaborating across engineering, design and data science to deliver customer-centric discovery experiences across markets. You will modernize and evolve domain APIs to improve relevance, performance and personalization at scale, while aligning with the company’s growth and transformation goals. This is an opportunity to impact how customers find, explore and engage with Tesco’s products globally.

Responsibilities

  • Dive into complex data sets to extract actionable insights that inform product decisions
  • Design and scale low-latency discovery services with tunable algorithmic parameters
  • Evolve domain-specific APIs and manage deprecation of legacy interfaces with minimal disruption
  • Identify opportunities to apply advanced search/browse across markets, platforms and channels
  • Translate business goals and user needs into a forward-looking product roadmap
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (PMs, Designers, Engineers, Data Scientists) and practice agile delivery
  • Prioritize initiatives delivering measurable value and future growth readiness
  • Facilitate prioritisation and remove blockers to ensure customer-centricity in every sprint and release

Key requirements
