Overview

In this role you support the National Tax team by staying current with tax developments, translating them for clients and colleagues, and improving knowledge-sharing and risk management. You will contribute to policy and procedures, coordinate training, and help drive efficiency across taxes. The position offers meaningful impact through shaping tax guidance, processes, and client-facing communications within a collaborative professional services environment. Responsibilities

  • Stay up-to-date with tax developments and communicate implications across the team
  • Contribute to client-facing content (e.g., website articles) on tax changes
  • Share information and best practices across teams on tax issues
  • Assist colleagues with resolving technical and risk-related tax queries
  • Support responses to tax consultations and budget-related announcements
  • Maintain and improve the internal tax knowledgebase post-changes
  • Participate in file review processes to manage firm-wide risk
  • Help draft and update tax policies and procedures with cross-team input
  • Support and run tax technical training programmes
  • Contribute to National Tax initiatives and cross-tax compliance improvements

Key requirements

  • Tax technical background with professional qualifications (ACA or ATT and CTA preferred)
  • Experience in a professional services firm
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to simplify complex issues for varied audiences
  • Passion for knowledge sharing and process/technology improvement
  • Strong organisational skills and ownership of work
