Logistics Operations Contract Manager

Overview

In this role you will own the weekend logistics footprint for Leven and Shieldhall, ensuring safety, compliance, and reliable delivery. You will partner with Category Teams and weekday managers to standardize processes and drive performance across multi-site operations. You will champion health and safety culture with the 3PL and embed quality standards to protect product integrity and service levels. This is a hands-on leadership role with a focus on continuous improvement and stakeholder collaboration in a fast-paced, large-scale supply chain.

Responsibilities

• Own the onsite 3PL Health and Safety Programme and lead incident investigations to identify root causes and long-term fixes
• Ensure the Logistics Quality Strategy addresses customer concerns and implement corrective mitigations
• Manage weekend operations to meet plan and critical metrics including direct despatch
• Engage with Production Leadership to align on priorities and plans
• Benchmark externally to identify trends, efficiencies, and opportunities across the logistics sector
• Coordinate with Category Teams, Weekday Logistics Contract Managers, and H&S Managers to standardize processes and manage risks

Key requirements

• Relevant qualification in Technical or Industrial subject desirable
• Knowledge and technical expertise in spirits and beers advantageous
• Experience in drinks industry or related logistics organisation preferred
• Experience of SAP is essential
• Thought leadership/ strategic vision; externally connected and future-oriented
• Track record in delivery, strategy, and thought leadership
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to influence partners

• Awareness of BCP and risk management techniques
