Managing Director, Partnerships, Google Play

Overview

As the regional leader for Google Play Partnerships in EMEA, you design and drive a multi-year ecosystem strategy to accelerate app and game developer success. You’ll lead distributed teams across offices, partner with Google leadership, and influence cross-Google initiatives to grow the Play ecosystem. You’ll shape policy, anticipate regulatory changes, and build scalable solutions with central operations to help partners reach more users and revenue. This role combines strategic partnerships, policy stewardship, and cross-functional leadership to strengthen Google’s ecosystem in a complex, evolving market.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute a multi-year ecosystem strategy for EMEA region
• Lead regional/global distributed teams across offices
• Act as strategic partner to Google EMEA leadership to drive cross-Google initiatives
• Drive Play Partnerships initiatives and influence stakeholders in a matrixed organization
• Ensure consistent policy guidelines and enforcement across the region
• Work with teams to anticipate local changes and prepare responsive actions
• Collaborate with government relations, communications, and legal to address issues
• Partner with central operations to deliver scalable solutions for partner success
• Cultivate long-lasting relationships with partners to maximize reach and revenue
• Advise on how Google’s offerings can support partner growth and ecosystem health

Key requirements

• 15 years of people management experience leading regional/global distributed teams
• Experience in mobile app ecosystems, digital platforms, or related areas
• Experience working in a global product, sales, and engineering environment
