Media Manager

Overview

As Media Manager, you will coordinate programming delivery for Playout and ensure content is processed accurately and on schedule. You’ll work across Production, Ingest, Edit, VOD and Playout to support operational deadlines and sustain smooth broadcast operations. You’ll oversee metadata quality, naming conventions, and cross-team coordination to maintain content availability. This role offers exposure to broadcast workflows, media asset management, and archive processes within a dynamic sports portfolio.

Responsibilities

• Prioritise content delivery across Production, Ingest, Edit, VOD and Playout teams to support deadlines
• Ensure ingest requirements are accurate and all content is captured
• Maintain accuracy of naming conventions, metadata and metadata application across workflows
• Coordinate with MCR, Engineering, Production, Edit, Bookings, Ingest and Archive teams to support content operations
• Manage incoming content issues, escalation, reporting and resolution
• Oversee archive content restores and day-to-day file delivery schedule, identify delays and risks
• Perform quality control checks for Playout delivery, monitor MAM system performance, support hardware tracking for productions
• Act as a key contact for system engineering issues

Key requirements

• Working knowledge of broadcast equipment, file formats and transcoding processes
• Excellent understanding and expertise in EVS IPD MAM systems
• Knowledge and experience of cloud-based broadcast technologies
• Understanding of file formats, audio track layouts, metadata requirements and their application within production environments
• Knowledge and enthusiasm for a broad range of sports within the Warner Bros. Discovery portfolio
