Investment Banking – EMEA Technology – Vice President – London

Overview

As a Vice President in the Technology Group, you drive the origination and execution of technology-focused M&A and capital markets transactions for diverse clients. You will lead deal execution, coordinate cross-functional teams, and mentor junior bankers within a high-volume environment. This role sits at the intersection of strategy, finance, and client advisory, offering influence over transaction outcomes and sector development. You will work closely with coverage teams to deliver impactful client materials while staying ahead of market and regulatory trends.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end M&A and capital markets execution, including materials, financial analysis, due diligence, and deal documentation
• Oversee valuation analyses (DCF, LBO, comps) and merger consequences scenarios
• Serve as primary day-to-day client contact throughout transactions
• Drive development of client presentation materials with industry and country coverage teams
• Mentor, supervise, and develop junior team members
• Manage multiple workstreams in a high deal-flow, collaborative environment
• Maintain up-to-date market intelligence on technology sector trends and regulatory changes

Key requirements

• Experience with technology companies across subsectors (software, hardware, internet, fintech, semiconductors)
• Previous VP-level investment banking experience with significant M&A and/or capital markets activity
• Strong financial analysis and corporate finance proficiency
• Ability to craft impactful marketing and transaction materials
• Detail-oriented, proactive, highly organized, with project management skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Proven ability to teach, mentor, and supervise juniors
• Ability to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines
