The Project Management team plays a critical role in delivering projects from initial feasibility and business case development through planning, design, procurement, construction, handover, and post-completion phases. Due to an increasing workload and a strong pipeline of secured projects, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Project Manager to join the is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious project professional to work on a broad range of challenging and rewarding projects while contributing to the continued growth and success of a highly respected consultancy.

Your New Role

Reporting directly to the Project Partner, you will be responsible for leading the successful delivery of complex projects across a variety of sectors and values, acting as a key point of contact between clients, consultants, contractors, and role will involve managing projects through every stage of the project lifecycle, ensuring that cost, quality, programme, and risk objectives are achieved while maintaining exceptional levels of client will take ownership of multiple projects simultaneously, providing leadership, technical guidance, and commercial oversight while mentoring and supporting more junior team members within the responsibilities will include:

• Preparing project scopes, fee proposals, appointment documents, programmes, project execution plans, and communication strategies.
• Advising clients on project delivery strategies, procurement routes, contract selection, and risk management.
• Providing expert guidance on JCT and NEC forms of contract, including contract administration duties where required.
• Coordinating and managing consultant teams throughout all stages of project delivery.
• Leading contractor and consultant procurement processes, including tender evaluation and recommendation reports.
• Chairing client, design team, progress, and stakeholder meetings while ensuring actions are effectively managed and communicated.
• Reviewing and providing commentary on cost reports, valuations, programmes, specifications, design information, and buildability considerations.
• Developing and maintaining project risk registers and implementing mitigation strategies.
• Managing programme delivery and monitoring project performance against key milestones and objectives.
• Overseeing change control procedures and assisting with the resolution of project challenges and contractual issues.
• Supporting the review of final accounts and providing input regarding extension of time, loss and expense, and liquidated damages claims.
• Developing strong relationships with clients and acting as a trusted advisor throughout project delivery.
• Leading complex commissions independently while ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
• Providing mentoring, coaching, and support to Assistant and Project Managers within the team.
• Contributing to business development initiatives, client relationship management, networking activities, and bid submissions.
• Promoting and helping to grow the consultancy’s Project Management services across Northern Ireland and the wider UK market.

This position will offer exposure to a diverse portfolio of projects ranging from commercial office developments and residential schemes to education, healthcare, leisure, retail, and mixed-use developments.What You’ll Need to SucceedThe successful candidate will be a motivated and experienced Project Manager with a strong consultancy background and a proven ability to lead projects from inception through to will demonstrate:

• Extensive experience delivering construction and development projects within a consultancy, client-side, or multidisciplinary environment.
• Strong technical understanding of the Project Manager’s role and responsibilities.
• Proven experience managing multiple projects simultaneously across various sectors.
• Excellent knowledge of project governance, procurement strategies, risk management, and project controls.
• Strong understanding of JCT and NEC contracts.
• Experience chairing project meetings and managing multidisciplinary consultant teams.
• Excellent stakeholder management and client-facing skills.
• Strong commercial awareness and financial management capabilities.
• The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within project teams.
• Outstanding organisational, communication, and leadership skills.
• A proactive and solutions-focused approach to project delivery.
• The ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively under pressure.

Candidates should also possess:

• Membership of a recognised professional body such as MAPM, MRICS, MCIOB, or equivalent.
• NEC3 or NEC4 Project Manager Accreditation would be highly advantageous.
• Experience across residential, commercial, retail, education, healthcare, hospitality, and leisure sectors.
• Employers’ Agent experience would be beneficial but is not essential.
• A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel throughout the UK and Ireland as required.
