Overview

As Housing Support Team Manager, lead and oversee a new district-wide housing support service, guiding a team of Housing Support Coordinators to deliver trauma-informed, person-centred support and achieve contractual outcomes. You will shape service culture, embed best practices, and ensure high-quality delivery for people with complex needs, working across Waythrough and The Bridge Project. This is a ground-up role offering influence on service development, stakeholder engagement, and continuous improvement to improve housing stability and wellbeing in Bradford.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership, direction, and operational oversight to the Housing Support Coordinators
  • Deliver person-centred, trauma-informed support across the district
  • Ensure the service meets outcomes, contractual requirements, and high standards of delivery
  • Help shape and embed a positive service culture and best practice
  • Oversee service development, quality assurance, and continuous improvement
  • Monitor outcomes and manage resources effectively
  • Supervise staff, manage performance, and engage with stakeholders
  • Build strong relationships with clients, staff, and partner agencies

Key requirements

  • Experience leading and managing housing/support services or related fields
  • Track record in staff supervision, performance management, and quality assurance
  • Ability to develop services, manage resources, and drive improvements
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Commitment to empowering individuals and delivering person-centred support
  • Driving licence with access to a vehicle and business insurance
  • Willingness to undergo enhanced DBS check
