Construction Associate/Senior Associate Solicitor

Overview

In this role you will join a respected Southampton construction team to advise on a broad range of projects for developers, funders, and contractors. You will handle both contentious and non-contentious matters, from contracts to dispute resolution, across commercial and residential developments, infrastructure, and offshore wind. The position offers strong progression within a Legal 500-recognized practice and a collaborative, growth‑oriented environment. You will work with cross‑functional teams to shape risk strategies and expand the firm’s industry network.

Responsibilities

• Drafting and negotiating contracts, consultant agreements, collateral warranties, and third-party rights
• Advising clients through all phases of development from planning to completion
• Handling dispute resolution and risk mitigation strategies
• Contributing to business development and expanding industry networks

Key requirements

• 4+ years PQE in construction law
• Experience in either contentious or non-contentious matters (ideally both)
• Ability to problem-solve and manage caseloads effectively
