Sr O&M Specialist

Overview

In this role you will lead maintenance engineering activities on large or multiple maintenance projects, overseeing electrical installation, maintenance planning, and safety compliance. You’ll supervise technicians and contractors, coordinate with engineering and operations, and ensure work meets relevant codes and standards. The position focuses on delivering safe, timely, and quality electrical solutions within a collaborative project environment. This is an opportunity to shape maintenance execution on critical assets and contribute to safer, compliant project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Supervise electrical installers, technicians, and maintenance personnel; assign tasks and set priorities
• Lead installation of electrical systems, interpret schematics and technical docs
• Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance; diagnose faults and coordinate repairs
• Enforce electrical safety procedures and regulatory compliance; conduct safety briefings
• Coordinate with project managers and contractors to schedule work and allocate resources
• Provide daily progress reports and assist in estimating labor and materials

Key requirements

• Level 3 Diploma in Electrotechnical Installation or Maintenance (or equivalent NVQ/qualification)
• AM2 Assessment and fully qualified electrician status
• ECS Gold Card and BS 7671 (18th Edition)
• City & Guilds 2391-52 (Periodic Inspection, Testing & Certification)
• CSCS/ECS Health & Safety Assessment
• Ability to work in industrial environments and extended hours
• Experience with project coordination and safety documentation
