People Business Partner

Overview

As a People Business Partner, you will align the people agenda with business growth and efficiency in a fast-paced environment. You will partner with senior leaders to shape the People Strategy, drive talent initiatives, and ensure effective organizational design. You will leverage people data to influence decisions, lead complex change, and enhance the employee experience. This role includes managing unions where applicable and sustaining a high-performing, engaged workforce.

Responsibilities

• Partner with senior leaders to design and implement the People Strategy to boost business performance
• Drive the talent agenda through retention, promotion, and succession planning
• Leverage people data and insights to influence decision-making and deliver measurable business outcomes
• Lead complex change initiatives aligned with business goals
• Manage relationships with Trade Unions where applicable, scheduling regular interactions
• Develop initiatives that enhance overall employee experience and engagement

Key requirements

• Strong commercial acumen with ability to translate business objectives into People strategies
• Experience managing business change including redundancy and TUPE projects
• Experience of collective grievance and working with Trade Union Officers
• Proactive identification of business risks and opportunities
• Strong analytical mindset with experience using People data and metrics to drive decisions
