Assistant Director, M&A Technology AI

Overview

In this role you will support and lead complex M&A Technology assignments with a focus on AI-driven due diligence. You will assess AI capability, roadmaps and architecture across buy-side, sell-side, IPO and refinancing projects. You’ll manage client engagements, develop technology-led value creation plans, and mentor a high-performing M&A tech team. The position offers hybrid London-based work and opportunities to shape cross-functional technology strategies within a leading global practice.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver AI due diligence engagements for Corporate and Private Equity clients
• Onboard and coordinate the M&A tech team and manage deliverables across internal peer groups
• Assess client/target AI roadmaps and architecture for scalability and business impact
• Identify AI-driven value creation opportunities (cost savings, revenue growth, IT synergies)
• Develop technology and AI-driven change implementation plans linked to financial benefits
• Provide day-to-day Programme Management support for technology workstreams
• Engage with senior management to drive risk, issues, decisions and governance
• Develop market-leading viewpoints on technology-enabled value within M&A

Key requirements

• Programme management experience in top-tier corporate or consulting firms
• Experience in delivering Technology due diligence and AI impact assessments
• Knowledge of M&A process and deal lifecycle
• Experience in financial modelling, valuation and due diligence for M&A
• Delivery of complex technology transactions and knowledge of AI, cloud, software/SaaS, digital transformation
• Experience in leading and coaching project teams
• Ability to manage change management and transformation initiatives
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
