Overview
In this role you will lead international tax advisory for EY’s Energy sector clients, guiding cross-border projects and tax strategy. You’ll work with energised teams to deliver technically solid, commercially minded advice and help growth across the Energy ITTS practice. You will manage client relationships and coordinate multi-stakeholder workstreams across jurisdictions. This is an opportunity to shape energy-related tax solutions amid a sector in transition. Responsibilities
- Manage and nurture relationships with Energy sector clients as the main tax point of contact.
- Lead delivery of international tax and transaction advisory projects with a pragmatic, commercial approach.
- Support Partners and Directors in identifying and converting new client opportunities.
- Oversee cross-border workstreams and coordinate input from multiple service lines and jurisdictions.
- Review and develop technical analysis and deliverables for UK and international corporate tax matters.
- Support engagement economics, billing, risk management, and project delivery.
- Contribute to sector initiatives, business development, and internal campaigns.
- Build and maintain internal and external EY relationships to enable integrated client delivery.
- Coach and develop junior team members, fostering an inclusive high-performance environment.
- Drive innovation, technology adoption, and process improvements across engagements.
Key requirements
- Strong UK and international corporate tax knowledge.
- Experience advising multinational businesses, investors or growth-focused organisations on international tax issues.
- Understanding of tax issues affecting Energy, Infrastructure, Renewables or energy transition sectors.
- Strong project management skills with multiple workstreams and deadlines.
- Commercial mindset applying technical knowledge to client situations.
- Proven client relationship skills with stakeholders across tax, finance and operations.
- Experience on cross-border or multi-jurisdictional advisory projects.
- Ability to review technical work and mentor junior colleagues.
- Strong communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills.
