Lead Data Scientist

Overview

In this role you lead a data science team within a fintech consumer lending context, shaping end-to-end credit modelling and data infrastructure. You will drive the development of the data warehouse and data environment, and oversee a range of credit models from scorecards to IFRS9, while building challenger models and monitoring performance. Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Data Science team
• Build and evolve the data warehouse
• Develop the data environment to support analytics
• Create and enhance credit models across the portfolio
• Work with scorecards, propensity models, and IFRS9 models
• Develop challenger models to improve the modelling suite
• Monitor and report on model performance and governance
• Provide oversight of the modelling process

Key requirements

• Seven years of Data Science experience
• Experience building a data warehouse
• Experience building a new data environment
• Machine Learning expertise
• At least 1 year of finance industry experience
• Strong SQL
• Proficiency in Python/SQL or R
• Solid understanding of data warehousing
• AI tooling experience
• Ideally familiarity with Credit Bureau Data
