Senior Commercial Manager

Overview

In this Senior Commercial Manager role, you provide commercial oversight across contracts and guide the contract commercial team, partnering with operations and project delivery. You will shape commercial strategy to improve profitability and customer value while managing risk and ensuring compliance. You’ll work with finance to support revenue recognition, cost control, and budgeting, and you’ll help establish strong contractual foundations for successful delivery. Responsibilities

• Develop and implement commercial strategies aligned with business objectives and revenue growth
• Identify profitability and efficiency opportunities to enhance value
• Manage commercial risks with appropriate mitigations
• Build and maintain strong customer and internal stakeholder relationships
• Provide guidance to other commercial managers on contracts
• Ensure clear understanding and management of contractual obligations
• Collaborate with operational teams to support contract delivery
• Coordinate with finance on revenue recognition, cost control, forecasting, and budgeting
• Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and company policies
• Support audit, risk management, and governance processes
• Control variations, change events, and contract administration, including pricing development
• Advance continuous improvement of commercial processes and governance

Key requirements

• Proven experience in a Senior Commercial or Contracts Manager role
• Strong commercial acumen with influence on project outcomes
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Strong negotiation, reporting and cost management skills
• Experience supporting operational teams
• High attention to detail and strong analytical capability
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure
• Experience in risk management
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Word
