Overview

As National Account Manager (FTC) you will drive budgeted volume, revenue and margin across assigned customers by executing targeted business plans. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to fill distribution gaps, activate NPD listings, and manage promotions. You’ll negotiate JBPs and CPIs within defined boundaries, owning the full P&L for designated customers. This role offers meaningful impact through strategic customer plans and ROI-driven trade activity. You’ll partner with multiple departments and act as the internal ambassador for key accounts to accelerate growth.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver budgeted financials across brands
  • Develop compelling business plans for assigned customers
  • Negotiate JBPs and CPIs within agreed boundaries
  • Accountable for the full P&L for designated customers
  • Manage trade spend to ensure ROI
  • Forecast monthly, quarterly, and annually
  • Manage internal setup of customer prices and terms
  • Document and control key account communications (pricing, promotions, range)
  • Lead range review negotiations with Category support
  • Post-activity analysis and insight reporting
  • Internal liaison for designated customers across departments
  • Weekly performance reporting vs budget, targets and forecast with variance analysis
  • Account administration
  • Plan and execute account marketing spend
  • Lead cross-functional projects internally and externally
  • Empower day-to-day account decisions within boundaries
  • Contribute to 2–3 year growth strategy with Controller for customer/channel

Key requirements

  • Experience in managing food retailer accounts (Account Manager or similar)
  • Ability to use category insights for selling stories and reviews
