Overview
As an Area Sales Manager at Vistry Kent, you will lead on-site sales teams across multiple sites to achieve sales targets within the customer journey framework. You will motivate colleagues, coordinate activities with stakeholders, and ensure high standards of service and compliance. This role combines hands-on leadership with market insight to optimise plot releases and revenue. You’ll work across the Kent region, collaborating with cross-functional teams to sustain growth and exemplary customer experience.

Responsibilities
- Lead and motivate on-site sales teams to meet KPI targets and deliver high-quality customer service
- Oversee progress of sales and part exchanges to hit targets and forecasts
- Coordinate plot releases and mix with other departments to optimise availability
- Maintain knowledge of local market conditions and competitor activity to inform marketing and sales strategies
- Ensure smooth operation of marketing suites, including safety, presentation, and staffing
- Provide market research to set sales volumes and prices, and report risks to stakeholders
- Maintain strong customer relationships and handle issues promptly to ensure satisfaction
- Ensure compliance with H&S, SOPs, and mandatory training across the team
- Support audits and embody company values in all activities
- Attend meetings and produce relevant reports for management
Key requirements
- Experience in sales management for a volume house builder
- Experience of managing a team
- Track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets
- Experience working with multiple stakeholders across disciplines
- Excellent IT skills and MS Office proficiency
- Understanding of sales and legal processes
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a high-paced environment and produce accurate work
- Full UK driving license and willingness to travel to all locations within the division
- Effective communication at all levels and ability to work both independently and in a team
- Confidence with challenging customers
- Ability to maintain communication between Sales Management and Sales Consultants
- Willingness to work weekends as required
- Desirable: Level 3/4 Customer Service or Sales qualification, 5 GCSEs including Mathematics and English
