Senior Solutions Architect – UK Healthcare, UK Public Sector – Healthcare

Overview

As a Solutions Architect in the NHS-focused AWS Healthcare team, you design cloud architectures that solve clinical and operational challenges at scale. You collaborate with NHS trusts, national bodies, and Health Tech organisations to translate complex requirements into practical cloud solutions. You drive technical engagements, shape roadmaps, and share knowledge through white papers and workshops. You will operate at the intersection of healthcare and cloud, delivering measurable improvements in patient care and workforce capacity.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver cloud architectures for NHS-related workloads at scale
• Lead technical engagements including discovery workshops, architecture reviews, and proofs-of-concept across AI/ML, analytics, interoperability, and IoT
• Present technical proposals to senior stakeholders (CIOs, CTOs, programme directors)
• Collaborate with AWS service teams to influence healthcare capabilities and product roadmap
• Create technical content and reference architectures; educate through workshops, meetups, and conferences

Key requirements

• Bachelor degree in a technical field or equivalent experience
• Experience in customer-facing roles
• Experience in cloud computing, systems design, software development, or infrastructure architecture
• Experience designing distributed systems in production
• Experience with generative AI or ML in an enterprise environment
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences including senior leadership
