Loss Prevention Specialist, WWOS

Overview

As Loss Prevention Specialist, you protect Amazon’s operations across the end-to-end supply chain by delivering security as a service to sites in your area. You lead audits, investigations, and risk mitigation, coordinating with internal teams and external partners to uphold security standards. The role emphasizes incident response, vulnerability identification, and education to strengthen site integrity. You work within World Wide Security Operations to prevent threats, maintain continuity, and safeguard assets and brand reputation.

Responsibilities

• Support resilience of operations via emergency and crisis planning for sites within area of responsibility
• Identify vulnerabilities and define mitigating actions while ensuring legal and ethical compliance
• Serve as point of contact and coordinate risk measures with local management and external parties (e.g., law enforcement, industry associations)
• Ensure compliance of assigned sites with Amazon global security standards
• Perform regular physical security audits, investigate policy violations and loss events, and monitor systems to inform mitigation strategies
• Maintain site physical integrity and collaborate with SMEs and external suppliers to ensure system functionality
• Liaise with internal and external departments and deliver loss-prevention education and awareness programs

Key requirements

• Experience in security and loss prevention
• Fluent English (speaking, reading, writing)
• Experience with MS Office Professional Suite, including Microsoft Excel to manipulate and analyze data
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (preferred)
• Experience with physical security best practices and investigation techniques (preferred)
• Experience in distribution centers, logistics, or manufacturing (preferred)
• Experience using data analytics to make decisions (preferred)
• Valid driver’s license with access to a personal vehicle (preferred)
