Associate Director – Project Finance Loan Syndications

Overview

In this role you lead the loan syndication function for project and structured finance in the EMEA region, reporting to the Head of Syndication. You will shape syndication strategies, manage processes, and leverage a broad investor network to drive complex transactions. You collaborate with Origination and deal teams to optimize structures for syndication and provide market insight to senior stakeholders. You also drive portfolio management, risk transition, and knowledge sharing through newsletters. Your work helps Siemens meet profitability, resilience, and sustainability goals while expanding the bank’s market presence.

Responsibilities

• Represent the Syndication function at Siemens Bank and contribute to strategic profitability and resilience goals
• Shape and execute syndication strategies across the EMEA region leveraging institutional investor networks
• Collaborate with Origination and deal teams to structure deals optimized for syndication
• Craft underwriting opinions and develop risk transition approaches with market intelligence
• Drive execution for secondary loan sales to manage portfolio rotation and concentration risk
• Develop and publish Quarterly Syndications newsletters for senior stakeholders
• Build relationships with external stakeholders to establish Siemens Syndications as a market participant

Key requirements

• Experience in loan syndication or related bank/project finance roles with knowledge of structured products
• Strong network with senior investors and financial entities for syndication opportunities
• Solid understanding of complex loan structures and hybrid debt models
• Relevant qualifications (finance, banking degree; MBA or CFA) or equivalent experience
• Excellent presentation and stakeholder management capabilities in a multicultural environment
