Structural Design Engineer

Overview

In this role you lead structural design within our in-house Design team to deliver compliant, client-aligned solutions for water infrastructure projects. You collaborate across stakeholders, produce designs and specifications, and ensure deliverables meet regulatory and QA standards. You will apply structural analysis, detailing, and codes knowledge to support safe, efficient, modular water treatment solutions. Responsibilities

• Liaise with client and stakeholders across the business to align on design goals
• Produce preliminary and detailed designs
• Compile design specifications
• Compile reports and communicate design data to clients and others
• Comply with company quality assurance procedures
• Complete required deliverables within allocated project timescales

Key requirements

• Degree in Mechanical, Civil or Structural Engineering
• Experience of structural steelwork, connection design and detailing
• Working knowledge of design codes and standards (BS and Eurocodes)
• Analyses of structures for stress and deflection using hand calculations and FEA
• Knowledge of piping systems would be an advantage
• Good knowledge of IT packages and systems
• Ability to work under pressure with attention to detail
• Good written and verbal communications skills
• Full UK Driving Licence
