Residential Property Lawyer/Conveyancer in Exeter to support a growing team. You will manage a varied caseload across freehold/leasehold, new builds, shared ownership and more, while ensuring high-quality client service. Responsibilities
- Manage a varied caseload of residential property matters (freehold/leasehold, new builds, shared ownership)
- Handle transfers, buy-to-let properties, remortgage, equity release, and auction transactions
- Draft, review and negotiate contracts and reports on title
- Conduct property searches, check titles, prepare client reports
- Liaise with clients, lenders, estate agents, surveyors and other professionals
- Manage registrations, SDLT submissions, and file closure
- Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and AML procedures
Key requirements
- Solicitor, Chartered Legal Executive (with practice rights), or Licensed Conveyancer qualification
- Strong technical and drafting skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Confidence managing matters independently
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Motivation, organisation, and a proactive mindset
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal IT systems
- Previous experience in a law firm environment supporting fee earners
