Staff Product Test Engineer

Overview

You will develop and qualify test methods for Cirrus Logic’s ASIC/IC products, collaborating with design engineers to drive test Methodologies pre-silicon and optimise yield. The role sits in Edinburgh within Global Operations, focusing on efficient test solutions and knowledge sharing to grow the team. You will shape test techniques, deliver robust ATE characterisation, and contribute to continuous improvement across the organisation. This is a chance to impact production efficiency and quality in a cutting-edge hardware environment.

Responsibilities

• Design multi-site hardware and software test solutions to reduce test time and cost
• Optimize production yield and monitor performance
• Develop robust ATE characterisation and qualification methods
• Collaborate with IC design engineers on test methodologies and pre-silicon DFx initiatives
• Drive continuous improvement across the organisation

Key requirements

• Degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering (or related fields) with proven experience in mixed-signal test engineering
• Strong expertise in semiconductor testing and development on IC production ATE
• Advanced knowledge of PCB layout and schematic design
• Hands-on experience with a wide range of bench equipment
• Deep understanding of analogue, digital and mixed-signal electronics; audio engineering interest a plus
• Experience in commercially driven product development environments
• Excellent time management and ability to handle tight schedules
