Product Owner (Finance)

Overview

As Product Owner – Finance you will shape and evolve finance systems to deliver value, compliance, and efficiency in support of strategic goals. You’ll bridge Finance, Compliance, Technology and senior stakeholders to guide decisions and risk management. The role focuses on defining vision, prioritising backlogs, and delivering data-driven improvements that work in a global, regulated environment. You’ll drive continuous enhancement and partner with multiple functions to enable better decision-making and client service.

Responsibilities

• Define the product vision and roadmap for finance systems aligned with priorities
• Own and prioritise the product backlog balancing technical, operational and UX needs
• Collaborate with Finance, Compliance, Technology and vendors to gather requirements and deliver practical solutions
• Lead continuous improvement through iterative development and stakeholder feedback
• Ensure systems support regulatory compliance and accurate financial reporting
• Analyze performance, data quality and workloads to identify optimization opportunities
• Act as primary contact for finance product initiatives with clear updates and documentation
• Manage end-to-end delivery including data, APIs, and third-party integrations

Key requirements

• Extensive experience with Thomson Reuters Elite 3E, Intapp Time, Narratives and other core PMS
• Finance background in legal or professional services with WIP concepts
• Experience building forms/workflows to drive efficiency in finance systems
• Record of delivering data-driven, customer-focused digital solutions using Agile
• Confidence testing and implementing system updates across a global environment
• Experience delivering end-to-end solutions with data, APIs and access management
• Exposure to procurement, security, privacy and risk in regulated settings
• Strong communication and stakeholder influence skills
• Highly organized and able to manage multiple projects at different lifecycle stages
