Overview
In this role, you will manage a varied portfolio of planning matters within a respected Planning & Infrastructure team. You’ll handle large-scale developments, energy and infrastructure schemes, and planning obligations while advising housebuilders, land promoters and authorities. You will also support property deals and lead contentious planning issues, collaborating across offices. Responsibilities
- Manage a varied caseload of planning matters, including large-scale development projects and energy schemes
- Advise housebuilders, land promoters and local authorities on planning issues
- Support property teams on acquisitions and disposals related to planning matters
- Handle contentious planning matters (enforcement, compulsory purchase, judicial reviews, appeals)
- Collaborate with partners across multiple offices and run own matters
Key requirements
- 4+ years PQE in planning law
- Strong technical skills in residential development and/or energy work
- Excellent communication, drafting and organizational abilities
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Meticulous, detail-driven approach
- Proven ability to build strong client relationships
- Genuine interest in planning policy and sector developments
- Interest in energy, infrastructure and clean energy initiatives
