Capital Delivery Project Manager

Overview

As part of the Capital Delivery Team in the New Homes and Corporate Landlord Service, you will lead delivery of non-housing capital schemes across council departments. You will drive design through concept to technical stages and manage projects from inception through procurement to completion. You’ll work in a dynamic, cross‑department environment to deliver Islington’s ambitious capital programme. This is a mission‑critical role where your impact will shape council assets and services, with strong support for your development and success.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a range of capital projects (non-housing) for council departments
• Oversee design development from concept to technical design stage
• Manage project lifecycle from inception through procurement to completion
• Apply planning, procurement, and contract administration processes
• Maintain high standards of delivery and drive continuous improvement
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams across the council
