Site Manager

Overview

As a Site Manager, you will lead planning and delivery on small to medium sites within the Energy Team, aligning with Murphy’s EPC projects and the SSE ASTI Framework. You’ll manage short- to mid-term programmes, monitor progress and resources, and maintain client engagement to ensure safe, timely completion. You’ll line-manage supervisors and coordinate with subcontractors while upholding rigorous safety standards. This role offers impact through hands-on site leadership and collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver work on small/medium sites to meet deadlines and standards
• Develop and maintain short/medium contract programmes, reviewing progress
• Monitor progress and expenditures, escalating issues when needed
• Line-manage Section Managers and supervisors/contractors
• Provide operational progress updates to clients
• Create and review risk assessments as required
• Assess plant, labour, and materials to ensure adequate resources (1–3 months)
• Coordinate site activities with Murphy team and client/subcontractors to ensure safe, timely completion

Key requirements

• HNC Building Studies or a degree in Civil Engineering/Construction Management
• Experience delivering Civil Engineering / Construction Schemes
• Strong site/contract management experience for contracts of similar value
• Solid health and safety knowledge with a relevant qualification
