Overview

Brevan Howard offers a hands-on Summer Internship in a fast-paced macro investing environment. You will work with the Quant and Applied AI teams to apply frontier AI techniques to research and trading problems, contributing to central analytics and trading tools. The program starts with an intensive training week on markets, AI, and coding, followed by project work and mentorship. High performers may be considered for the 2028 Graduate Program, with exposure to cross-functional teams and real impact.

Responsibilities

• Work with senior professionals to deliver impact on quantitative and AI-driven projects
• Develop and enhance the core analytics library across Fixed Income, FX, Credit, and Equity
• Integrate AI into trading tools and workflows
• Collaborate with PMs to develop trading signals, backtesting, and research workflows
• Build agentic AI systems and LLM-based tools for research and trade operations
• Contribute to the central analytics platform and participate in talks and mentorship events

Key requirements

• Penultimate-year undergraduate or 1st-year master’s/PhD student, to be completed before July 2028
• Strong mathematical, quantitative, problem-solving abilities
• Programming experience in Python
• Experience with Excel, VBA, and R (and ML/AI techniques)
• Demonstrated interest in AI and ability to explain concepts
• Interest in financial markets and macro investing
• Ability to work independently and in a team; strong communication
• Organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal English
• Entrepreneurial spirit and ability to manage multiple projects
