Overview

As a Junior/NQ Commercial Property Solicitor, you join a respected regional firm in Cardiff to handle a diverse commercial property caseload under supervision. You will contribute to a broad range of matters for landlords, tenants, banks, developers, and public bodies, with opportunities for development and progression in a supportive, hybrid-work environment. You’ll draft and negotiate key documents and gain exposure to title work, BD activities, and complex title analysis. This role offers a clear path to grow within a high-profile team.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a varied commercial property caseload under supervision
  • Handle freehold sales/purchases, option agreements, overage deeds
  • Work on commercial leases for offices, retail, and industrial premises for landlords and tenants
  • Advise banks on secured lending; advise developers on development sites
  • Represent local authorities and public sector bodies under WGCD framework
  • Property portfolio management; provide corporate and litigation support
  • Draft and negotiate sale/purchase contracts, transfer deeds, option/overage agreements, leases, legal charges, development agreements, collateral warranties, s106/s104/s278/s38 agreements
  • Investigate and analyse complex titles; prepare clear title reports
  • Assist senior solicitors; participate in business development via events and articles

Key requirements

  • Junior or Newly Qualified Solicitor level experience
